Send a quote and get it accepted

Quotes & recipesUpdated

You send a quote straight from the builder. Email attaches a PDF and links to a web view; SMS sends the link only. Your client opens it on their phone — no login, no account — and can accept on the spot once the quote has been emailed and marked Sent. An SMS-only link is view-only until then.

  1. Tap Send in the builder's top bar to open the Send quote dialog. You can tap Generate PDF first, but you don't have to — an email send generates it automatically. The quote needs at least one line item.
  2. Tick Send via email, Send via SMS or both. The Email and Phone fields pre-fill from the job's customer.
  3. Add a Personal note (optional) if you like, then tap Send quote. The button shows Sending…, then Sent ✓.

What your client sees

The client gets a private link (like /q/…) showing your business name, the quote as Q-0001 · v1, line items grouped by category, then Subtotal (ex GST), GST (10%) and Total (inc GST). Your margin never appears. While the quote is out they can Accept quote, Request changes with an optional note, or Download PDF.

On accept, the quote flips to Accepted, the job advances to won automatically, and — when that acceptance is the one that wins the job — every owner gets an email. On Request changes, the quote shows a Rejected pill in the job's Quote tab — no notification is sent for this one, so keep an eye on that list. The client's note is visible only on their own quote page.
