What the AI does (and does not do)
Scheduling, comms & AIUpdated
SmartM8 is built AI-native, and the AI layer is rolling out now. Today the one AI surface you'll see is the Morning brief card on the dashboard — a placeholder explaining that your daily briefing lands there once the AI layer is live.
What's coming
- The morning brief — a few plain-English sentences each morning covering your jobs, crews, and anything that needs a look.
- Job chat — ask about a job's status, budget, and margin in plain English.
- Scope capture while quoting — describe the scope, get recipe suggestions.
- Drafted messages — the AI writes the SMS or email, you review and send.
- Proactive margin alerts when a job's numbers start slipping.
The rules the AI follows
- AI proposes, you confirm — nothing is sent or changed without your say-so.
- Everything the AI produces is labelled as AI-generated.
- Every AI action is designed to be reviewable and reversible.
- The product works with the AI off — nothing in your day depends on it. When AI is unavailable, features step aside gracefully rather than break.
